Stage One - Nevada City to Sacramento
Stage 1 of the 2010 Tour of California starts in historic Nevada City of Of the Nevada City Classic believed to be the oldest race west of the Mississippi. Descending into Sacramento, this stage should be fast with multiple spots for a breakaway to slip of the front.

Stage Two - Davis to Santa Rosa
Stage 2 of the 2010 Tour of California gets off to a great beginning with its start in Davis, considered to be the most bicycle friendly city in the nation by the League of American Bicyclist. Stage Three - San Francisco to Santa Cruz
Stage 3 of the 2010 Tour of California starts along the bay in beautiful downtown San Francisco and follows the ocean towards Santa Cruz along the Pacific Coast Highway. Stage Four - San Jose to Modesto
Stage 4 of the 2010 Tour of California gets off to a great start by taking the peloton immediately over Sierra Road. This climb ascends 1,930 feet of elevation and could proof to be a great launching pad for an all day breakaway. Once in the valley the sprinter teams will surely put the hammer down to prevent the breakway from stealing the day in Modesto.
